Heat Treating

Our heat treatment services are fully compliant with ISPM 15 requirements and can make virtually any wood packaging material phytosanitary and ready for international shipment. We can handle new, used, hard or softwoods. No heat treating job size is to large or small.

Some of the products we heat treat include the following:

  • Reusable Pallets
  • Single-use Pallets
  • Special purpose pallets
  • General purpose pallets
  • Specialty wood packaging
  • Reels
  • Skids
  • Dunnage
  • Cut and grooved stock
  • Assembled Crates
  • Knocked Down Crates
  • Agircultural boxes
  • Industrial grade lumber and panels
  • Banding lumber

Heat Treating Procedure

  1. Unload customers' pallets with a fork lift and load them into our certified kilns.
  2. With the pallets in the kiln, the doors are then securely shut and sealed to keep temperatures regulated.
  3. The kiln's temperature is increased to a minimum of 140 deg and a maximum of 180 deg for a time period depending on the size of the pallets.
  4. The kiln doors are opened and the heat treated pallets are removed and stored or loaded on a truck to be transported.
